Nine years ago, fate and a family tour to Beijing brought Vincent and Vivien together. Their first encounter happened when Vivien was made to share a table with two other families on tour with them to bond over dinner.

However, the possibility of a romance did only present itself with the intervention by a Feng Shui Master (a visit which was part of their tour itinerary) who saw a match in their 八字 and declared them a compatible couple. As much teasing from the tour group and especially their siblings ensued, Vincent and Vivien warmed up to each other. They even took their first photo as a pair in front of the ‘Bird Nest’ (Beijing National Stadium) though Vivien’s brother was standing right in between them. Still, that’s the place where they went from being complete strangers to inseparable companions in love. For that reason, the couple made it the destination choice for their wedding shoot.

Vivien’s brother, still bright as a light bulb, found Vincent on Facebook to share photos from the vacation. Knowing or unknowingly, he was instrumental in the pair keeping in touch.

9 Jan 2010, officially marked the beginning of their sweet relationship when Vincent grasped Vivien’s hand, and ask her to be his girlfriend under the shadows of sprawling trees in Esplanade Park.

8 Dec 2016, in Iceland, with the Northern Lights for a backdrop, Vivien said yes to Vincent when he got down on one knee to propose. A sky full of stars and the song “Marry Me” by Train played in the atmosphere.

Together, they bring out each others’ best and inspire each other creatively, spiritually, and intellectually.

On 15 Dec 2018, they feel truly blessed to celebrate their union in marriage, especially with you — family and friends!
